3 Alkaline Water Recipes to Soothe a Sore Throat

Author’s note: I’m fighting a cold while writing this article. These three alkaline water recipes really work if you can’t stop coughing and your throat feels like it’s on fire!

Many, including myself, have been suffering from Bronchitis this Winter Season.  According to http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com

Alkaline Water

Anti-Inflammatory Beverage Recipes

Tumeric Leche

Ingredients:

1 cup almond milk or non-dairy milk of your choice

2 tsp. Raw honey

1 tsp. Organic ground turmeric

2 tbsp. Ionized Alkaline Mineral Water

Directions:  Place all Ingredients in a small saucepan and heat on medium. Whisk the turmeric leche mixture while it heats up so it gets a bit frothy.  Once well heated, pour into a mug and enjoy.  The turmeric is a wonderful natural anti-inflammatory.

Why nondairy? Dairy products are acid-forming and produce phlegm.

Cinnamon Delight

Ingredients:

1 cup Ionized Alkaline Mineral Water

1 tsp. Fresh organic ginger, minced

1 tsp. Organic ground cinnamon

Raw honey or Xyla to sweeten

Directions:  Place ginger and cinnamon in a mug.  Boil water.  Pour hot water over the ginger and cinnamon.  Sweeten with raw honey or Xyla.  You can eat the ginger if you want.

Honey-Lemon Water

Ingredients:

1 cup Ionized Alkaline Mineral Water

Juice from 1 small organic lemon

2 tsp. Raw honey

Directions:  Place lemon juice and honey in a mug.  Heat water.  Pour over lemon mixture.  Enjoy.
