This informative 74 page guide will give you a better understanding of the reasons for and benefits of an alkaline water cleanse.
A quick explanation of terms needed to understand the Why Choose LIfe? guide.
WATER IONIZER. A machine that separates tap water into alkaline water and acidic water by splitting the mineral bicarbonates in tap water.
MINERAL BICARBONATES. Mineral compounds that make water hard. The two most common mineral carbonates in tap water are magnesium bicarbonate and calcium bicarbonate.
MINERAL HYDROXIDES. Mineral compounds that water ionizers convert mineral carbonates into. The two most common mineral hydroxides in ionized alkaline water are calcium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide.
ALKALINE WATER. Water with a pH of higher than 7, which is neutral.
ACIDIC WATER. Water with a pH of below 7.
NEUTRAL WATER.Water with a pH of exactly 7, neither alkaline nor acidic.
IONIZED ALKALINE WATER.Alkaline water that has been ionized by a water ionizer to give it antioxidant potential.
OXIDATION-REDUCTION POTENTIAL (ORP). The Scientific measure of how much antioxidant potential ionized alkaline water has. A negative number e.g. -600, indicates beneficial antioxidant potential that may help fight premature aging. A positive number e.g +600 indicates the water is an oxidant (all tap water is) and may actually accelerate aging.
ALKALINITY. Water with a pH of below 7.
PH. A measurement of the potential hydrogen that may be present in alkaline water.
