Test 1: Fluoride Super Filter Test – No detectable level of fluoride

The EPA allows up to 4 mg/L of fluoride to be present in drinking water. ETR labs tested the Super filter with 4 mg/L fluoride in the test water. Fluoride Super Filter beat Activated Alumina Filter

Test 2: Super Filter Heavy Metals Test

Water has to obey the same laws of chemistry and physics everything else does

Below are the seven claims made by the Author of  Dancing with Water and the facts which prove the claims are not true. The purpose that  Dancing with Water was written was to sell you (among other things) water filtration products. So it’s not surprising that the author would look for any reason to discredit the health benefits of alkaline water.

1. Claim: Alkaline water hinders digestion. The author points out that fifty percent of people over the age of 60 are hypochlorhydric. This is true, but then the author claims that: “people who begin to drink alkaline ionized water end up with digestive trouble” (false) and that “Most of those who promote alkaline water are aware of this problem” (false)

Fact: LIFE Ionizers has been selling water ionizers in the US since 1996. In this time, we have received exactly zero reports of customers developing digestive trouble. Clinical testing done in Japan shows that 88% of people with upset stomachs actually found relief from their symptoms by drinking alkaline water.  We do recommend you don’t drink alkaline water before and during meals, and that goes  for all water, not just alkaline mineral water. Water dilutes your digestive juices when you eat.

2. Claim: Alkaline water does not balance the body’s pH. One of the arguments used in favor of alkaline water, supposes that its consumption will alkalize the body and negate the buildup of acids caused by our modern diet and lifestyle.

Fact: Alkaline water supplies alkaline minerals (calcium and magnesium). As the Author of Dancing with Water suggested, it is alkaline minerals that your body uses to buffer acids. You can test the pH of your urine and prove this  yourself. Urine pH  increases when you drink alkaline water. 

3. Claim: Another reason NOT to drink alkaline ionized water is that a water ionizer allegedly “damages” the  molecular structure of water.

Fact: Water molecules DO NOT form any kind of molecular structure in liquid form. Claims that water is somehow “structured” “micro clustered” or hexagonal” are pseudo-scientific rubbish.

The Physics: There are three states of matter: Solid, liquid, and gas. In solid form, water becomes ice. The molecules  form hexagonal crystal structures (the familiar snowflake form). In liquid or gas form, water molecules DO NOT form structures. they move about freely, independent of one another.

4. Claim: Alkaline ionized water contains calcium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide that contribute to arterial plaque and joint disorders.

Fact: Calcium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide are both completely safe for human consumption and used to fortify food with nutrients. Who says? The FDA Both of these minerals are listed in the FDA’s Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) database:

Fact: Calcium hydroxide is also used by municipal water authorities to raise the pH of tap water – millions of tons of it in fact.  Calcium hydroxide is used to fortify infant formula and orange juice with calcium. Magnesium hydroxide is also commonly used to fortify foods with magnesium.

5. Claim: Alkaline water is imbalanced. Water ionizers separate water into two streams.  One contains the acidic ions.

Fact: Alkaline water from a water ionizer contains mineral cations, AND hydroxyl anions. It is physically impossible to have water with only calcium and/or magnesium in it. It is physically impossible to have “imbalanced” water.

The Chemistry: If you put a piece of pure calcium or magnesium into water, you may very well cause an explosion! Calcium and magnesium in water will release hydrogen gas and heat. This is because calcium and magnesium in water MUST reach chemical equilibrium – balance. According to Le Chatelier’s Principle: All things MUST find equilibrium! The laws of nature do not allow anything to remain unbalanced – especially water!

6. Claim: Alkaline ionized water causes cell death and fibrosis of the heart.

There are zero reports of alkaline water causing any kind of heart trouble. The studies the author cites were done on rats. There was a major flaw in those studies. The researchers used a dilute solution of salt water to make the water they fed to the rats.

Salt water in a water ionizer makes bleach! This study was literally feeding dilute amounts of bleach to the rats! Research conducted by the Livermore National Laboratories shows that chlorine in water with an alkaline pH is not good for the heart. The bleach that the scientists didn’t realize they were making caused all the trouble cited in the study.

This is why water ionizers, and LIFE Ionizers in particular have taken extensive measures to ensure there is no chlorine in the water they make. Dr. Don Colbert – Recommends LIFE Ionizers and an alkaline diet

The Facts: People in ancient times didn’t live as long as we do today, but the levels of obesity and other diseases caused by poor diets were unheard of!

How food was different 2,000 years ago

Dr. Colbert studies scriptures for clues about what people would have eaten in the time that Jesus is thought to have existed. In those times, people ate a mostly plant-based diet. Foods that were popular in the Middle East include lentils, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, dates, nuts, and fish. Amazingly, some people snacked on grasshoppers and crickets! Meats were rarely eaten because of the lack of refrigeration. Most of the food was consumed raw, and some health experts consider this to be ideal for better nutrition.

The science behind a raw, alkaline foods diet

Some scientists believe that our bodies are designed to eat a raw, alkaline diet based on our teeth. Humans have  four canine teeth, eight frontal teeth and many molars. The reason this suggests we are designed for a plant-based diet is:

• We have four canine teeth that are designed to tear meat apart.

• Our eight frontal teeth  known as incisors, are used to bite fruits and vegetables.

• Most of our teeth, however, are molars. They are used to grind and crush plants and seeds.

Dr. Colbert believes that because the majority of our teeth are molars, that we are designed to eat mostly plants. Carnivores have more than 4 canine teeth, and jaws designed to bite off chunks of meat.

Another clue that suggests that we are designed to eat plants is our saliva. Human saliva is alkaline and has enzymes in it like amylase, which breaks down carbohydrates and plants. Carnivores have acidic saliva and lack amylase.

Our intestines also give us a clue as to how we should be eating according to Dr. Colbert. Your intestines are four times longer than you are tall. Carnivores have intestines about twice as long as they are tall. Shorter intestines allow meat to pass through the digestive tract quickly before it starts to rot.

A Healthy Alkaline Diet – According to Dr. Colbert

The diet Dr. Colbert recommends is similar to the Mediterranean Diet, and similar to what Dr. Colbert believes scriptures recommend:

1. Calculate Your Breakfast Time and “Break Your Fast” Accordingly: Eat breakfast very early so you can have the energy and fuel for a full day’s work. You should be breaking your fast every morning 12 hours after your last meal the previous day. If you had you dinner at 6 p.m., you should break your fast the next morning at 6 a.m.

2. Linger Over Lunch: Many people rush through lunch, eat at their desks at work, and wolf down their food. The key to eating better is making lunch your biggest meal and eat in as much of a relaxed atmosphere as possible.

3. Eat a Light Dinner at 4pm: Your digestive system should not have to work on overdrive when you should be sleeping. Eat dinner as early in the evening as possible.

4. Wine and Walk: This should not be confused with wining and dining. Wine is good for the heart. But don’t overdo it!

What is Kangen water’s® Electrolysis Enhancer®?

Alkaline water hydrates better than plain water because it’s easier to absorb

Why does alkaline water hydrate better than plain water? Because it has lower surface tension than regular water. The surface tension of water determines how well your cells can absorb it through osmosis. The lower the surface tension, the easier it is to absorb.

The calcium and magnesium hydrates in alkaline water act as osmotics – substances that reduce the surface tension of water. When you reduce the surface tension of water, it becomes easier to absorb through osmosis. Alkaline water’s surface tension can be compared to plain water with a simple experiment called “The penny experiment”.

The Penny Experiment: Surface tension of alkaline water vs. plain water

You can test the surface tension of water by counting how many drops of water you can get to sit on a penny before it spills over. The water’s surface tension is what holds it in place on the side of the penny. The lower the surface tension, the less drops of water you can fit on the penny before it overflows the sides of the penny.

Use an eyedropper and two pennies. Hold the eyedropper a little above the penny so the droplet has to drop on to the penny. Count how many drops you can fit on the penny until they spill over.

Important: Hold the eyedropper at the same height when adding drops to both pennies. Gravity will affect the outcome of this experiment!

As you can see from the results we got, you can fit more drops of tap water on a penny than you can with alkaline water. The reason is that the surface tension of alkaline water is lower than the plain water it was compared against.

Why alkaline water has lower surface tension than plain water

The mineral hydrates in alkaline water lower the surface tension of water. Plain tap water contains carbonate minerals – Calcium and magnesium carbonates. A water ionizer splits the carbonates from the alkaline minerals. The minerals then hydrolyze – combine with –  hydroxyl ions taken from water molecules.

Clinical tests of alkaline water in Japan that measured the pH inside the stomachs of people who drank alkaline water showed that it raised the pH of their stomachs from .5 – 1 pH. The test subject’s stomach pH stayed higher for about a half hour.

Raising the pH of your urine – if it is too low – is a good thing.Because the symptoms of Metabolic Syndrome show a link to chronic low urinary pH. Why lemon juice alkalizes your body

Alkaline water and lemon juice – better together

Lemon juice has an acidic pH of about 2.3, but it has a high alkaline mineral content. When lemon juice is metabolized, it releases alkaline minerals that contribute to the body’s alkaline buffer. Alkaline water will buffer some of that acidity because it supplies alkaline mineral hydrates.

Why alkaline water and lemon juice have antioxidant potential

Superoxide radical: Lemon juice gets it’s antioxidant benefit from ascorbic acid which is vitamin C. Vitamin C is an antioxidant because it breaks down the Superoxide Radical down into hydrogen Peroxide and water in a process called . Superoxide is a pair of Oxygen atoms that have bonded together that has an unpaired electron. Electrons be present in pairs or groups of 4 for a substance to be stable. Because superoxide has an unpaired electron, it will grab an extra electron from DNA and cells to pair that electron up with. Vitamin C will break down the superoxide, but this process still leaves hydrogen peroxide, which also damages tissue.

Hydrogen peroxide is two hydrogen atoms and two oxygen atoms. The mineral hydrates in alkaline water consist of an alkaline mineral cation, and a hydroxyl anion. The Hydroxyl anion is a single hydrogen atom combined with a single oxygen atom. The hydroxyl anion is able to break hydrogen peroxide down into water by accepting hydrogen peroxide’s excess oxygen atom. This means that alkaline water in effect finishes the job that vitamin C starts!

How to make  alkalizing antioxidant alkaline lemon juice
